Purpose of this chapter.
Before beginning the Rice language tutorial, we will learn how to use the Cooker. The Cooker is a Rice language execution environment for the tutorial.
The Cooker is a Rice language execution environment for the tutorial. It will work with .Net Framework version 4.6 or later.
Cooker has the following features.
The Cooker can run the Rice language.
The Cooker use an ie compatible browser as a console. You can create a wide variety user interface by manipulating the html.
You can call the handler that has been written in Rice language to the event of the browser.
Please refer to the manual of the Cooker for more information about Cooker.
Please carry out the download of the Cooker from the download page of the Cooker.
The Cooker is distributed as a self-extracting-archive of the 7z format.
Installation is unnecessary. Necessary files are expanded by executing the downloaded exe file.
How to run the Rice program
There are three way that run the Rice program on the Cooker.
The first way is to drop a .cook file to Cooker's icon.
The second way is to run the Cooker and select the .cook file from the file selection dialog.
The third way is to associate the Cooker and .cook extention.

It drop the .cook file to Cooker's icon.
The second way
It run the Cooker and select the .cook file from the file selection dialog.
The file selection dialog will open by pressing the Ctrl and R keys at the same time.

The third way
It associates the Cooker and .cook extension. After the association has been completed, please run a .cook file from the Windows Explorer.
Cooker does not carry out the association. Please carry out the association by yourself.
