The requirements that must be met with source file.
Encoding
Rice source file need be the UTF-8 encoded text files.
Byte Order Mark(BOM)
Byte order mark(BOM) is optional. Byte order mark(BOM) is allowed both presence and absence.
File extention
File extention is optional. Rice does not request a specific file extension.
Please note that there is a case to request a specific file extension to the Rice source files by an application software. For example, Rice source files must have the ".cook" file extension in the Cooker.
